Insured UK Vehicle Transport — See Each Driver's Cover
Every driver on A1 Transporter must hold goods-in-transit insurance, checked before they're approved — and each quote shows how much cover that driver has.
How insurance works on A1 Transporter
A1 Transporter is a marketplace: the job is carried out by the independent driver you choose, and it's that driver's goods-in-transit insurance that covers your vehicle while it's in their care. Before a driver is approved we check their V5 (vehicle log book), their motor insurance and their goods-in-transit certificate.
Choose cover that fits your vehicle
Each quote shows the driver's goods-in-transit cover in pounds, next to their price. Pick a driver whose cover is at least your vehicle's value. For a high-value car, mention its value in the notes when you post.
Condition photos at both ends
The driver photographs the vehicle at collection and again at delivery. If a question comes up later, there's a record of the condition at handover.
How it works
- Post the job — pickup and drop-off postcodes, the vehicle and whether it drives. It's free and you don't need an account to post.
- Checked, independent drivers send their own price. Each quote shows the driver's goods-in-transit cover in pounds.
- Choose a driver and pay a deposit online to book. You pay the rest to the driver directly, on the payment terms shown with their quote.
Before you book you see the driver's price and our booking fee. The booking fee is the deposit you pay online; the driver's price is paid to the driver directly, at the time and by the method shown with their quote. Nothing else is added.
