Anywhere in England, Scotland and Wales

Post a job between any two postcodes in England, Scotland and Wales. For islands, mention the ferry crossing in the notes so drivers can include it in their price.

Timing on long runs

A long run can take more than a day door to door, with the driver's rest stops. Drivers say in their quote when they can collect and deliver — choose the one that fits.

How it works

  1. Post the job — pickup and drop-off postcodes, the vehicle and whether it drives. It's free and you don't need an account to post.
  2. Checked, independent drivers send their own price. Each quote shows the driver's goods-in-transit cover in pounds.
  3. Choose a driver and pay a deposit online to book. You pay the rest to the driver directly, on the payment terms shown with their quote.

What affects the price

Distance is the biggest factor, then whether the car drives, its size and how flexible your dates are. Drivers heading your way anyway may quote less, so flexible dates can pay off.

Before you book you see the driver's price and our booking fee. The booking fee is the deposit you pay online; the driver's price is paid to the driver directly, at the time and by the method shown with their quote. Nothing else is added.

Frequently asked questions

Which parts of the UK do you cover?

England, Scotland and Wales — post a job between any two postcodes there. For islands, mention the ferry in the notes.

How long does a long-distance move take?

A long run can take more than a day door to door. Each driver says when they can collect and deliver, so compare that alongside the price.

What do I pay A1 Transporter?

Only the booking fee, which you see before you accept a quote. You pay it online as the deposit when you book. The driver's price is paid to the driver directly, at the time and by the method shown with their quote.

Is my vehicle insured during transport?

Every driver must hold goods-in-transit insurance. Before approval we check each driver's V5 (vehicle log book), motor insurance and goods-in-transit certificate. Each quote shows how much cover that driver has, so choose one whose cover is at least your vehicle's value.
